The country roads of Appalachia run slowly from the past to the future through the present. Take time to discover the treasures of a vanishing way of life. This watercolor painting is about "The Scenic" which is W.VA. state route 55, the Highland Scenic Highway. I love this scenic road and the nearby natural attractions and trout streams. I constantly find inspiration in the area and have done many paintings inspired by my fishing, touring, sketching and photography trips here.
