Pink Orchid and Three Hummingbirds invitations. Oil on mahogany panel from 1871. Martin Johnson Heade was an American landscape and naturalist painter who frequently depicted birds and flowers. Orchids and hummingbirds were some of his favourite subjects, and this painting stands as one of his most beautiful. Cattleya Orchid and Three Humingbirds depicts a Cattleya orchid surrounded by two Brazilian amethysts hummingbirds and a red-tailed Sappho Comet hummingbird in the midst of a jungle at sunset. Really lovely product, both sides came out perfectly. Would not recommend the Metallic sheen for this one personally as it dims the photos a little bit but it does make the rest of it look very nice if you dont mind the photos so much. Very satisfied with the quality of the photos - no pixelation. The back of the invitation turned out really nice too.
