Pink Roses Card

The original piece of art upon which this design was based will be given as a gift to a coworker who loves the colour pink. I didn't have them in mind when I painted it, but by the time I was done, I was like, "Yeah, it's obvious who this one will go to." This piece was my first attempt at painting after a couple months off. I had the flowers sketched out on paper & had set the paper aside in the basement for close to a year. I pulled it off the shelf as a low-stakes way to get myself painting again-- a design I remember liking when I saw first drew it, but got distracted from long enough for it to not 'speak' to me anymore. So, there was no risk if I screwed it up. I don't think I screwed it up at all, in the end. The pink roses are set against a celestial backdrop of twinkling stars below a crescent moon. It's a waxing crescent, FYI.
