Below the lofty clocktower, the boiling tide is crashing on the outer harbor walls whilst on the West side, the old man and bird (a statue by artist Holly Bendall named 'Waiting for Fish', unveiled at the Porthleven Arts Festival in September 2022) look out to sea, waiting patiently for the fishermen and their fishing boats to come back safely into the harbor.
