I love walking through vineyards, observing the vines at all stages of growth. They are the most beautiful as the grapes are reaching maturity before the harvest, as these are. In John 15, Jesus says he is the true vine and we are the branches that derive our life from him. He intends we should bear fruit as we remain in him, and reminds us that apart from him we can do nothing.
