This amazing image called "Anatomical Man," is a miniature painted by the Limbourg Brothers for Jean, Duke of Berry. The Duke of Berry was their sponsor and he had a keen interest in astrology. It is part of the Illuminated Manuscript "The Tres Riches Heures of Jean, Duke of Berry. In this miniature, the influence of the zodiac stars on the human body is depicted with complex and detailed symbolism. It was created 1410-1416 AD.
