This lovely greeting card features on its cover a reproduction of a watercolor by James Tissot (15 October 1836 – 8 August 1902) , a French painter noted particularly for his portrait paintings. This opaque watercolor (done over graphite on grey wove paper) shows Mary and Joseph presenting Jesus to the temple priests. The Prophetess Anna stands with her back to us and arms outstretched, while Simeon the Righteous stands to the right (with cane).
