Princess Angeline - Vintage Photo 1896 Famous Vintage Photographs & Photos Princess Angeline born in 1820 - passed away 1896. She is also known as Kikisoblu, Kick-is-om-lo, or Wewick. Princess Angeline was the eldest daughter of the Great Chief Seattle. Born in what is now Rainier Beach area of Seattle, Washington The 1855 Treaty of Point Elliott required that all Duwamish Native Americans to leave their land for reservations, but Angeline ignored this order and decided to remain in the city of Seattle. She stayed in a Elliot Bay waterfront cabin on Western Avenue between Pike and Pine Streets. This cabin is near today's Pike Place Market, and she made a meagre living taking in laundry and selling handwoven baskets first on the streets of downtown Seattle and later through the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, now a famous tourist destination. Vintage photographs of famous people, exotic places of the world, cultures, society and icons of history. Images of photographic history from Daguerre to the Great Depression by masters of photography. Wholesale available.
