About This Design

Pumpkin Pie Machine holiday postcard

Pumpkin Pie Machine holiday postcard

ABOUT THIS IMAGE Digitally restored and colourized cartoon panel by Frank R. Leet, published on November 1, 1911. Caption reads: "Invention Edison Never Thought of---A Pumpkin Pie Machine" and shows Mother dumping pies into the pumpkin pie machine while her family eagerly awaits the machine's output. ABOUT FRANK R. LEET Frank R. Leet was a staff artist of the NEA. He was the creator of comic strips like ' Isn't a Man Easy?' (1907), 'The Last Straw' (1908-09), 'Julius and Li-Lo' (1910-11) and 'Duke' (1915). Leet became ill with a form of encephalitis that left him with a palsy and unable to draw, thus his son took over the drawing of his syndicated comic strip 'Al Acres' when he was just 12 years old. Frank Leet would do the writing and develop the concept and his son would do the drawing. He was the author of 'The Little Brown Dog' and 'The Animal Caravan', which were both published in 1930. The material is thick card. The clear images are amazing and the overwhelming options is super cool! I wish I would have played with more options because the printing is exactly how the preview looked! That's why I'm getting more... my To go spot!

I wanted to do some unique gift giving for the twelve days of Christmas and this was a perfect addition to my present for the second day. My sister and brother-in-law love turtles. Colors are bright and printing is crisp. The design is detailed and this print was perfect. My photos don't do it justice!

I love the vintage postcard and greeting cards that Zazzle offers that can be personalized with no additional charge. The quaiity and value is exceptional. I highly recommend! The quality of the paper and the print turned out beautiful. I bought several to send to my family and framed one for myself to display.
