Regina Angelorum (1900) by Bouguereau is a vintage Victorian fine art realist religious portrait painting. A classic portraiture of the Madonna and Child with Mary holding the infant baby Jesus Christ surrounded by angelic angels and a halo of stars. About the artist: William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905) was an academic painter in realism and staunch traditionalist whose realistic style and mythological themes were modern interpretations of classical subjects.
