A Rainy Day in Boston (1885) by Childe Hassam is a vintage fine art impressionism urbanscape painting featuring people and horse-drawn carriages at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Appleton Street in Boston's South End. Hassam and his wife lived at 282 Columbus Avenue. About the artist: Frederick Childe Hassam (1859-1935) was a prominent and prolific American Impressionist painter, noted for his urban and coastal scenes. Hassam was instrumental in promulgating Impressionism to American collectors, dealers, and the museums.

Due to the cost of this cup I thought it would be of finer quality China but it isn't. The picture of the butterfly wings is okay but not as cool as the photo because it has a white boarder around it. So it was nice enough but not as cool as its price suggested. It arrived by post quickly and in good condition so that was really good. As above. Not quite as good as the picture indicated
