Ravens Circle Dance Round Clock

Nine lively ravens (Corvus corax) circle around a knotted Norse/Celtic ring. A triquetra, a triangular figure of three interlaced arcs, appears at centre. Everything is superimposed on an old paper background image, giving it a mediaeval feel. In Norse mythology the number nine is associated with Odin and his valkyries, connecting it to the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. Ravens were multi-faceted symbols including the connection between the worlds of the living and the dead. In effect, this image can be thought of an an avian ouroboros.
