Born in1812 Edward Lear was an English Artist, illustrator, writer, and poet. In 1832 he published a book containing forty-two lithographic prints of parrots, Illustrations of the Family of Psittacidae or Parrots. After more than a hundred years these images are still in excellent condition as is evident in all forty-two images in the collection.
