Raindrops cover a red dianthus bloom in this colour photograph. Below the blossom, its green leaves stretch out at various angles. The shallow depth of field keeps the flower and water drops sharp while the background is softly out of focus. The flower's leaves are separated from the ground by a layer of wet, mottled brown leaves, a sign of autumn.
