Red Geranium Card

I have a relative who just loves red geraniums as she has positive memories of a loved one taking her to a greenhouse to buy one every spring. I painted her an acrylic painting of a red geranium a few years ago, and she loved it so much that I wanted to try a similar painting in a different style. This design is painted with watercolor, marker, & acrylic paint. My favourite part of this painting is the leaves. Depicting a potted red geranium flower set against a celestial background of a crescent moon & whimsical stars, this design can be displayed as a statement of dissent from the sad beige aesthetic, or given as a greeting card for any spring- or summertime holiday. It's star imagery & patriotic colour scheme lend well to the American independence Day holiday.
