Early 20th Century majolica style tile with a colourful floral swirly pattern in green, red and a blue frame. This stunning tile, just one of many others, can be found on heritage listed colonial Architecture throughout Singapore, on buildings called shophouses. The tiles are said to be 'Peranakan Tiles', Peranakan is what the Chinese call Straits Of Malacca (Malaysia & Singapore) born Chinese people. Some appear Art Nouveau, while others look Art Deco.
