Red squirrels are so cute and such a delight to paint in watercolour. I always paint using artist quality watercolour paints to capture the beautiful colors of wildlife. Squirrels love to eat nuts and seeds. Red squirrels are quite shy and generally live in trees. The red squirrels of Scotland live in pine forests where they dine on scotch pine nuts. Red and gray squirrels make nests in the spring to raise their young. They are called squirrel drays.
