Reflections After Rain in Place Aubry Vieux Hull Postcard

I love patterns and reflections in black and white. It's June and time to celebrate! The first day of summer, or Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, falls on June 21. Then it's St Jean Baptiste Day on June 24 in Quebec, Canada. The St Jean Baptiste celebration marks the birth day of the biblical John the Baptist, and is a traditional holiday in Quebec. This pic was taken at Place Aubry in Vieux Hull, right after the rain when the sun was beaming. You can see the reflections of Quebec provincial flags, a white cross with four white fleur de lys, as well as windows and other architecture elements, in the puddles on the stone tile ground. The raised wooden platform is the patio of one of several restaurant pubs. At night this is a hot spot for drinkers. In the early afternoon it's quiet and tranquil. The puddles are like mirrors on the ground. The stone tiles of different colour shades create repeating patterns with visual interest, receding into the distance, echoed by the wooden platform and its posts and lower bars, the multiple flag reflections and patterns of reflected windows.
