Rembrandt, Simeon's Song of Praise - Fine Art Postcard

NewParkLane - Christian Fine Art Postcard, featuring an early 17th century painting 'Simeon's Song of Praise', made by the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn in 1631, and a Bible quote: 'For mine eyes have seen thy salvation' in elgegant script typography. This masterpiece is on display in the famous Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague, Holland. Joseph and Mary are in the temple to dedicate their newborn baby Jesus to God, where the child is recognised by Simeon as the long-awaited Messiah. The old man takes him in his arms and bursts into a song of praise. The divine light that floods Simeon appears to be shining from the child himself. This hymn of praise is found in Luke 2:29–32.
