Renoir Roses in a Vase postcard. Oil on canvas from 1917. A beautiful flower painting from late in Renoir’s career, Flowers in a Vase depicts a bouquet of red, yellow, white and pink roses in a small blue vase. The roses are in full bloom, heavy to the point of falling over, and weigh themselves down over the rim. Many of the roses have fallen about the base of the vase where they sit romantically in the shadows. A beautiful gift for fans of Renoir, impressionist flower paintings, and French art.
