Renoir The Braid puzzle. Oil painting on canvas from 1884-86. This beautiful painting was completed during Renoir’s rejection of impressionism. The Braid (Suzanne Valadon) depicts a pretty young woman in a low cut dress braiding her long dark hair. The girl lowers her dark eyes demurely away from the viewer. In the background one can make out the green leaves of a nearby bush. A great gift for fans of Renoir, French art, and beautiful portrait painting.
