Delft tiles date back to the seventeenth century when blue and white Chinese porcelain imports reached the Netherlands. The popularity of these items was a great influence on Dutch tile artisans and Delft became the centre of production for these usually (but not always) blue and white tiles. We also have this design available in our store with a different background.
