De Morgan (1839-1917) was an important Arts & Crafts movement artist and was the head of tile production at William Morris's studio. His work was influenced by Persian and Islamic art and featured stylized flora and fauna from both life and fantasy. This is one of his whimsical designs from the late 1800s and depicts a colorful dragon.
