Republicans and Democrats Bumper Sticker

Republicans say they'll take us back to the good old days of more freedom and morality, using nostalgia for some golden age to leverage support for their campaigns. As if reasonable people can forget that just a few short years ago minorities had no place at the seat of influence, and women battled discrimination, male chauvinism, and outright abuse in ways younger people today might not even fathom. In other words, Republicans want to take you back to a lilly white mans world. And Democrats are all about building bridges to the future, progressive thinking, and making the world a more equal place, which sounds great. But with all the lofty talk and elevated aspirations for a better world, they reach down into the same old bag of tricks to make this happen - a government program. As if human progress can be modelled after the US Postal Service. They both drag us down. People simply don't need them. Their lies, their old, tired "solutions." The only reason people even do deal with these outmoded, corrupt parties is because they have to because their life or business is directly effected by policy, so there's little choice but to sully themselves for protection. And the only reason there are two parties is so that the appearance of strife can befuddle the nation while the powerful run the show.
