I thought of this after I had seen violence committed against animals in the news and thought of all those wonderful rescue organisations and volunteers that go out and save, rehabilitate and home these creatures. Many of which later take trial these cruel people who did unspeakable things to the animals. It's a reminder that as a person who rescues an animal in a shelter or off of the street, you are giving a voice to the voiceless. It also represents that it doesn't matter whether you are human or not, we all deserve respect, a comfortable life and most of all - a place to call home.
