Reunited lovers embrace Art Nouveau illustration Postcard

The lad in the bear’s skin and the King of Arabia’s daughter - is a delightful illustration of lovers reunited after a long time; they endured many trials and extraordinary obstacles and finally found their way back to each other. The exquisite artwork is from the story “The Blue Belt” in the first edition of “East of the Sun and West of the Moon” (1914, Hodder & Stoughton, London) - Fifteen Norwegian tales collected by folklorists Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Engebretsen Moe and illustrated by phenomenal Kay Nielsen.
