The full title of this work is "Rounding a Bend" on the Mississippi – The Parting. This item presents a dynamic design. It's a wonderful feast for the eyes. It's full of variety of beautiful dark blue hues, contrasting with pretty, light colours. It's an exciting night on the water. Something special seems to be going on, as fireworks have been set off from one of the riverboats. This work, from 1866, was created by Frances Flora Bond Palmer. Although she was born in England, multiple sources list her as "American, British born" and her art as American art. We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
