This wedding reception card has been created using the Royal Stuart (Royal Stewart) tartan design. This tartan began its life as a 'Royal' tartan - that of the Royal House of Stuart - the personal tartan of the reigning monarch. Over the years it has become so popular and widely worn by all that it is now considered to be a Universal tartan (meaning that it can be worn by anyone who has no clan tartan).
