National flag of Russia The Russian national flag is a horizontal tricolour flag in white, blue and red. It was first used officially in the 19th century, and was adopted again after the Communist era in 1993. The current version has been in official use since 2000. This flag has a 2:3 ratio. Note that any distortion in the preview image is caused by compression artefacts, and won't be printed.
