Rustic Raven On Inner Birch Bark Notebook

A digital recreation of a simple Raven (Corvus corax) image formed by carefully scraping off the reddish outer surface on the reverse side of birchbark to reveal the lighter, yellowish layer beneath. This is a traditional craft among Native Americans/First Nations across the northern United States and Canada. There are two places for you to add your own text. I do not claim to be a Native artist. Having lived in the North much of my life I appreciate the many uses of the Birch (Betula spp.) and find the technique simulated on this image to be very beautiful.

It is cardboard and plastic /laminated when it clearly states leather. I was expecting a leather front page. .
