    S Shano Colour Mountain Slice 9: Syd painted this composition with a putty knife and a sable brush. Very little colour mixing occurred on the pallet. Syd instead mixed paints directly on the canvas, alternating between dark and light to attain a solid quality to both mountains and sky. c 1974.
