S Shano Colour Mountain Slice with Signature Tie

Syd Shano Colour Mountain Lengthwise 2 : Syd painted this bold colourful composition with a putty knife and a sable brush. Very little colour mixing occurred on the pallet. Syd instead mixed paints directly on the canvas, alternating between dark and light to attain a solid quality to both mountains and sky. Note the flesh tones mixed in around the soil, sunset and floral colours. c 1974.
