Sakakibara Genjiguruma Travel Mug

Sakakibaragenjiguruma/Sakakibara Genjiguruma is the family crest of the Sakakibara daimyo (feudal lords) who ruled over Echigo-Takada (150,000 koku). The Sakakibara family descended from the Ashikaga clan through Yoshitoshi Niki, who lived in Ise Sakakibara and took Sakakibara as their surname. Yasumasa Sakakibara served Ieyasu Tokugawa and was a brave warrior who never lost a battle in about 40 years since his first battle at the age of 16. Their secondary crest is Kuyou (from 'A Study on Definite Crests' by Manjiro Fukui).
