Salisbury Cathedral Christmas greetings Holiday Card

Although this card shows scenes around the cathedral, it is based mainly on the organ.The Salisbury Cathedral organ was built by Father Henry Willis in 1877. In 1934 the same firm modernised the actions and installed a detached console with additional couplers and pistons. In 1969 the organ was renovated by Willis. Harrison & Harrison renewed the console mechanism and electrical system in 1978 and in 1993. It is very highly regarded as one of the finest of Willis' work. Inside the card it reads "Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year".
