The Sanada Roku Mon Sen or Zenimon is also called "Sanada Zen" in "Heian Monkan", "Mon Den", and "Kamon Dai Jikan", while "Mon no Kokorozashi", "Mon no Izumi", and "Nihon no Monsho" refer to it as "Sanada Roku Mon Sen". Other names include "Shinano Sanada Roku Mon Ren Sen" in "Jomon no Kenkyu" and "Roku Ren Sen" in "Kamon no Jiten". Mumon Sen refers to coins with only a square hole, like this design. The Sanada clan of Shinano Province is particularly famous for using Mumon Sen, which symbolize the six coins needed after death. The six coins are for the six paths of Buddhism: hell, hungry spirits, animals, asura, humans, and heaven, and are given to the Jizo statue that governs these realms. Heavy duty Cotton. The design and colours are superb, I feel very proud as a Graham descendant from Appleby Westmorland Cumbria to wear this especially when wearing of patches is banned in Aotoearoa - New Zealand.
Kiwis wear all black as the t shirt is with Green lettering to match the environment and yellow for joy and purple thistle to match my hair.
