Red Riding Hood Meets the Wolf
For red riding hood fans out there, this is a very beautiful image of little red riding hood meeting the wolf in the woods. Old, spindly branches rise up from a gnarled tree. The woods are in their winter colours -- browns and tans surround little red riding hood's pure red cape. The wolf and little red riding hood are very small as compared to the trees and forest surrounding them, as if enveloping the two figures in the foreground.
About the Vintage Little Red Riding Hood Image
The antique image of Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf was by influential illustrator Arthur Rackham, who developed the owl image for a 1909 edition of Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

I love the symbolism in this piece! The olive branches and flowers reminding us of Gethsemane and the joy of the resurrection. The candle reminding us of Christ's light and love. I've dropped it a few times already and it has held together nicely. Couldn't be more pleased with this product! Would definitely buy again. The printing was as expected on the front. Clear colors. The back where the artist put her brand name was a bit faded, but still readable.

I always worry when I order something customized, but this was just as I'd hoped it would be. My grandson will love it,. I spelled words wrong on purpose and they printed it just as it was entered.
