The experiment goes like this: something something cat, wawa radioactive decay, foobie bletch simultaneously alive and dead, gurgle poop collapse of the wave function. What they won't tell you is that the whole story is apocryphal. Schrodinger's (again, with the umlaut) original experiment actually involved locking his keys in his car. You can't know if the keys are locked in the car (unless you can see them) and you can only determine if the keys are in the car by opening the car door (which you can't, because the keys may or may not be locked inside).
