Scottish Independence Declaration of Arbroath Tote Bag

A tote for Scottish independence supporters, with a graphic of the Scotland flag above a photograph of the Declaration of Arbroath. The faded and torn parchment with wax seals was written in Latin and signed on April 6th, 1320, at Arbroath Abbey, six years after Robert the Bruce defeated the English at Bannockburn in 1314. The most famous section of the declaration is: 'For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.'
