Sea Anemone Scientific Nature Ocean Tile
Vintage sea anemone scientific print - This print is of Filicinae (Ferns), by Ernst Haeckel from a 1904 antique scientific book. The gift is based on the 49th plate from Ernst Haeckel's Kunstformen der Natur (Art Forms of Nature) from 1904, showing various sea anemones classified as Actiniae. Sea anemones are a group of water-dwelling animals. They are named for the anemone, a terrestrial flower. Sea anemones are related to corals, jellyfish, tube-dwelling anemones, and Hydra. Anemones are ornately coloured sea creatures that are stinging polyps. Anemones spend most of their time attached to rocks at the bottom of the sea or on coral reefs. They sit there, waiting for fish to pass by, and become snared in the anemone's tentacles.

My fiancé and I were happy when we received the tile. It’s Peru and was worth paying extra for expressing postage. Good quality and it is exactly like we wanted it. We are very pleased.

Just perfect for my needs. I want to use it in my garden as a little memorial to my Nana whose name was Iris :). Printing is just great :)
