Second Hand Land Tee

Second Hand Land was an afterschool carnival of the unwanted. Dolls that looked like they’d come alive if you stared too long, license plates stripped from cars that probably didn’t make it out of the 70s. Upstairs, the loft held milk crates full of Perry Como, Soviet military choruses, the occasional jazz or rock and roll gem, or just bizarre album covers that made you laugh and feel uneasy at the same time. The racks were crammed with vintage clothes that ran from grandma’s attic to punky weirdness you weren’t sure you were cool enough to pull off. You and your friends lurked the aisles like archaeologists of suburban oddity, never sure if you’d find treasure or a curse. Either way, you always left feeling like you’d slipped through a cracked portal on San Anselmo Avenue.
