Across the ages and continents people celebrate mostly in similar ways: together they give thanks, feast on what is abundant, decorate with what is in season, parade, bathe, dance, sing, marry, lit flames, indulge in mischief.
For years on my artworks there either was one lonely figure or nobody at all - landscape as seen by a lonely figure. I like being alone but I am a social animal, too. Most people wither without connections.
September, wheat, wealth and beer.
A calendar. A ceremony. A pure fantasy.
