Shakespeare Sonnet 144 (CXLIV) on Parchment Wrapping Paper

Shakespeare Sonnet 144 (CXLIV) on Parchment Wrapping Paper

What would life be without poetry in general - or Shakespeare in particular? A while back, I decided to make products using Shakespeare's sonnets, but I felt my design was a bit unfulfilled at the time, so I revamped it a bit to something more to my liking. Traditional yet original. The background is a parchment texture I made a while back, and I also found a calligraphic typeface for it that has the almost unique feature of having both historical gravity as well as modern legibility. Obviously there are lots of sonnets to get through, so if you like this design, but cannot find your favourite work by the bard already made in it, please email me at mail@galleryhakon.com to let me know and I'll get to it right away. This particular one is sonnet 144 (CXLIV), which reads: Two loves I have of comfort and despair, Which like two spirits do suggest me still: The better angel is a man right fair, The worser spirit a woman coloured ill. To win me soon to hell, my female evil, Tempteth my better angel from my side, And would corrupt my saint to be a devil, Wooing his purity with her foul pride. And whether that my angel be turned fiend, Suspect I may, yet not directly tell; But being both from me, both to each friend, I guess one angel in another's hell: Yet this shall I ne'er know, but live in doubt, Till my bad angel fire my good one out.
