This is a Sheaffer Triumph Sentinel fountain pen and pencil set in black c. 1947. Sheaffer’s iconic conical Triumph 14 karat gold two-tone nib was introduced in 1942 and the Sentinel model was introduced in 1945, the first Sheaffer pen with a stainless steel cap, giving the chunky cigar shaped pen a rugged look. It is cardboard and plastic /laminated when it clearly states leather. I was expecting a leather front page. .
