Shrine of the Book, Postcard
A family walks toward the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem during sunrise. The cityscape in the background is bathed in warm golden light. “The Shrine of the Book, museum, was built as a place for the olden Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in the Judean desert (part of Jordan at the time). The white dome embodies the lids of the jars in which the first scrolls were found. The corridor leading into the Shrine resembles a cave, recalling the sites where the ancient manuscripts were discovered.” Mainly in the Hebrew language, the scribes addressed the Jewish religion including the Old Testament. They also relate the lives of the Jews at the time. The last scroll describes the beginning of Christianity. The Scrolls cover the period from the “3rd BCE to the 1st CE”.

Such a huge range of different frogs available, which made my choices very difficult and now the reason I have a whole draw full of cards and postcards! Much better quality than you can buy in the shops and they are exactly on the subject I love and adore too.
