The figure can be found in all periods of Greater Iranian art and literature, and is evident also in the iconography of mediaeval Armenia, the Byzantine empire The mythical bird is also found in the mythology of the Turkic peoples of Central Asia and is called Kerkés, Semrug, Semurg, Samran and Samruk.

This was more than I expected, I was so happy with the product as I was rushed at ordering it for Christmas time frames and wasn't sure if I really had what I wanted however the product arrived and I was absolutely over the moon happy with it.
