About This Design

Sky Blue Sprig Block Print, Olive Leaf Wrapping Paper

Sky Blue Sprig Block Print, Olive Leaf Wrapping Paper

A block print starts as a carved wooden block, inked and stamped one motif at a time. That is why the sprigs sit in tidy staggered rows and the edges soften instead of cutting sharp. Here the flower is sky blue, the leaves are olive, and the ground is off white. Set at a 12 inch repeat, so each sprig lands about 4 inches tall on the 29 inch roll and reads as a flower, not a speckle. Matte paper, six foot roll. Works for a baby shower in May or a birthday in November.
