This is a reproduction of Sleeping Endymion by Nicolas Guy Brenet. Brenet ended his apprenticeship with Francois Boucher at the age of 26 and two years later went to the Academie de France in Rome. He returned to France three years later and became renown for his precise Neoclassical images. He died in 1792. The image of the sleeping Endymion is typical of the Neoclassical style. The original is at the Worcester Art Museum.
