<sigh> I love Johnny when he's quiet. Sometimes, when you least expect it, he becomes completely calm, almost contemplative. His little blue eyes focus on some distant point, and he seems lost in a world all his own. You would think he's enjoying the snowflakes silently descending outside. In fact, he's planning a daring leap onto the fire escape and disappearing under an avalanche of snow. It's all part of his diabolical plan to scare me to death and inherit my fortune.
