From www.railphotoexpress.biz Conrail Shared Assets had released Norfolk Southern owned GP38, PRR #2943, with a special Conrail Blue paint scheme celebrating Conrail's 25th anniversary in 2001. The engine had "Spirit of Conrail" under the cab and "Conrail Quality; 25 Years of Safety and Service "on the hood. I believe it was taken out of service in the fall of 2004, with most engines of its class. The engine is shown here at Frankford Junction, Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Photo by Stan Feldman .7/15/2003
