This mythological creature is flying over a body of water in the evening. About the artist: John Atkinson Grimshaw (1836-1893) was a Victorian era artist and a "remarkable and imaginative painter." True to the Preraphaelite style, he put forth landscapes of accurate colour and lighting, and with vivid detail.
